Hi there! I agree with Allison, I’m 20 weeks and didn’t feel like I had a bump until last week. I still haven’t “popped” yet in my opinion, but I started feeling flutters at 18 weeks. My belly shape changes throughout the day, sometimes I see a small bump but it then changes and seems as though I was just heavily bloated. First pregnancy here too and I’m 5’5. I spoke with my midwife about it and she basically implied that comparison is the theft of joy. Be rest assured that baby is growing and doing well, they are supposed to be quite tiny at this stage anyway. Just imagine holding a mango and see if it fits in your belly lol, that helped me. All the best x
Hey hey with my first pregnancy I didn’t “pop” for ages, my bubba was also on the smaller side. Baby is showing small again now) but I had no symptoms really this time round. Feel fine most of the time. My first pregnancy I had morning sickness until 12 weeks and then it got abit longer in the mornings 12w-15w ish after that I had nothing major either. My placenta is also anterior so I’ve not felt any movement yet with this bubba (18w) and it was the same with my first pregnancy. Hardly felt him move so that was sometimes worrying but he came all well and healthy! Keep us updated with your appointment tomorrow and always feel free to drop me a message x
I get where you are coming from, I’m 16 weeks and I feel like I’ve just gained weight and don’t have a bump, I’m sick a lot and my tummy is soft. I went and paid for a reassurance scan to check everything was ok and they said it was fine. They said the acne and back pain were normal as well.
I hope your appointment went all okay today 🤍🤍
Thank you everybody! I did have a scan today and baby is absolutely fine! She did mention it does look like I have an anterior placenta so I don’t know if that makes any difference with the bump! Xx
Hi! I think this sounds very normal? I can definitely see a difference! I’m 19 weeks almost 20 and honestly my stomach looks a lot like yours on the right. I would say I’m more bloated by the evening and the bump changes throughout the day but I wouldn’t say I’ve “popped” yet. I’m also tall (5”10) and first pregnancy so suspect this has something to do with it :) I can feel baby move now which gives me reassurance and we have our 20 week scan tomorrow. But again I’d say there is definitely a difference between your photos. I just think we expect to be a lot bigger especially when comparing ourselves to others. 🙂🙂
