Housing doubts

I work part time and am currently living in a two bedroom house with my 20 year old son but planning to move into another two bedroom alone. I am currently on universal credit and was wondering me moving into another two bedroom property by myself this time, would it affect my universal credit? Would they refuse to pay my rent because as a single tenant I am not supposed to be renting a two bedroom?
