Glucose test

Does everyone get offered a glucose test, or are they only offered to those considered high risk for gestational diabetes? My midwife hasn't mentioned anything to me about this.

I was told only if you have a high BMI or diabetes in the family x

@Sarah thanks so much x

Yes, high BMI.

The only reason why I got offered the test was because I mentioned that I had PCOS over 10 years ago x

I’m having one cause I’m having twins x

I had to have one as baby’s belly was measuring a bit bigger at the 20 week scan, and I need to have another one as my mum and my partners mum both have diabetes. I didn’t have to have it in my previous pregnancies at all

Currently doing mine now. My BMI is normal and no diabetes in family but I have bowel disease so high risk x

You only get it if your bmi is over 30 or if the baby’s belly is measuring bigger. I had to have it as his belly was measuring big but I don’t have it xx
