Sleep regression- help needed

It’s been 10-12 days we are fighting my 18 months sleep regression. It seems we are not settling sooner. Yesterday night was worst. My LO woke up at 2am and couldn’t go back to sleep only thing she wanted was to lie on my lap. She finally slept at 4:30 am. I am soooo exhausted and clue less. All her regression cycles have only last week max in past. This time it’s just not settling. Any suggestions to sail through this?

Mine literally goes to sleep at 10 PM then he's up at 12 am until around 3:30 or 4 am

I don't understand what a sleep regression is. My kids went to bed at a set time and I didn't go back in until a set time in the morning.

My son has always slept thru thr night since he was 3 mths......at 17.5mths the regression started. Hes now 19mths😵‍💫 he really doesn't cry just loud lol. It's either 1245am or 3....takes him almost an hr to go back to bed....maybe 3x a week he does this.

@Jasmine lucky you 🍀

@Lara I feel you 🥲

@Cat ouch, lets hope 18 months one is finale in sleep regression series and we all are done with sleep deprivation 🥹

Not me. My 2nd one is due March 10th

What are day time naps like ?

@Carrie 1 nap at 1-1:30 pm that lasts for 1 to 1:30 hours

@Cat oh my congratulations girl ❤️❤️

@Tirtha It sounds like she may being going through split night sleep. We are currently going through this with my 19 month old and it sucks 😂🥲 each day/night is different. What has really made a difference is making sure she is up at a certain time in the morning and caping her nap at 1 hr. Some days she falls asleep and stays asleep others we are fighting. We are even thinking about getting rid of her nap all together. I would also say staying consistent as much as possible is key. We don’t take our daughter out of her room at night or else she thinks it’s play time. We will go in and comfort as needed. But mostly watch her on the baby monitor.

What’s her nap schedule? Perhaps there’s been a change in her sleep needs? Does she fall asleep on her own?

@Lana her schedule before this ups and downs was - she wakes up at 6:30-7 am , afternoon nap at 1-1:30 pm for 1-1:30 hours. Wake by 2:30-3 pm, bedtime between 7:30 -8:30 pm . Would wake you once may be but go back to sleep. Now it’s all crazy, stopped sleeping by herself, crazy night wake up. Putting her to sleep has been most challenging 😥 But on bright side I am seeing improvement in her motor skills and speech ❤️

I would try your best to not get her out the crib. Don’t give her more reason to want to be awake lol. Keep the room dark. Don’t talk much. Just say it’s bedtime. Lay her back down and pat her back if you have too. You can try leaving the room after she seems settled to see if she can support herself back to sleep.
