We are also a fan of the Osprey Poco carriers. We have the poco premium and have been super happy with it so far. I really like that it comes with a sunshade and ours also has a detachable mini backpack with straps that allows someone who is not carrying the baby to lighten the load. As an aside, I lent it to my sister once who has a different hiking backpack (not sure which one) and she told me it was much more comfortable than hers. I think if you can try out what you want to purchase beforehand it will really help you figure out what's comfortable for you.
I have a Kelty and I like it a lot. Make sure your carrier has a shade in case you're out in the sun for long periods of time! 🌞 it is rated for up to 50lbs, but weighs 7lbs itself and 3L of water is another 6lbs, +baby weight (I was trying a tough hike with my 33lb baby and it was tough, a lot of people were complimenting me, and some were looking at me in shock 😲)
Thank you all for your recommendations! I will try a few on to see what fits best
I love the Osprey poco plus but definitely go to a store that has them to try on. There are a few different brands and all have different features. I love the Osprey brand packs so that is why I got that carrier. Also it’s super adjustable and fits my husband who’s 6’ and me 5’2”
