@Ren he can sit up leaning his back on something, can hold things with his hands and putting things towards his mouth x
So leaning is not being sat independently as he relies on support. I would do some reading about it as it’s not recommended till babies can sit independently, or contact GP and seek their view after they have seen your boy
@Ren yeah ill wait i was just wondering
I would still wait my son would love it if I shoved food in his mouth rn he's always trying to grab my food but there tummies still aren't developed enough to handle it an can cause a permanent damage if u introduce foods early. They need to be sitting up as well as the risk of choking is so high for babies that can't sit independently. There's no rush to wean early won't hurt them to wait but can hurt them to do it to early. At this age babies want to put everything in there mouths so it's not I direct interest in food and only food they just want to explore everything x
Always consult GP as it’s not only about them showing interest and opening mouth for your food. Can he sit and hold himself up totally independently, is he grabbing and holding objects with a hand which is steady and with purpose each time, etc etc. Then doctor can advise if his body and digestive system are ready and recommend things to start baby on x
