How much food do your little ones actually eat?

I don’t know at what point I should start panicking (to be honest I already am) My LO barely eats. Breakfast is our most successful meal by far and I’m probably getting half of one Weetabix and half a mashed banana into her there. She picks at her lunch and picks at her dinner so it’s MINIMAL intake. She will eat puffs but they are basically air in terms of calories. Cheese, berries and yogurt are the only things I can rely on her eating but surely she can’t just live off those? At first it was “food before one is just for fun” to reassure me but now we’re past one I’m starting to really freak out. She is breastfed still but our feeds have naturally gotten further apart but she’s not eating more solids to replace that. Any advice? I’m seriously panicking because all I see are posts about how people’s LOs gobble down so much food and we’re just not there

Literally the same! Last week she was managing one weetabix, not even touching her dinner and a bit of tea but now she’s not eating anything! Apart from banana! She’s also gone back up to 3 bottles of toddler formula and won’t drop them! I totally understand how you feel. I am so worried too x

SAME 100%!!! Breakfast it’s half a Weetabix or few spoonfuls of porridge and a banana. Lunch and dinner he’ll happily eat half a pinwheel, strawberries and a bit of yoghurt but he can’t live on that surely!! Like you he’ll also eat some melty puffs, baby rice cakes, half a rusk but hardly a balanced diet. Basically everything you just said, exactly the same. We are nowhere near him eating like an actual meal. It’s all basically picky bits and the same picky bits, I make him new things to try and it ends up on the floor/in the dog.

Hey, how much of a gap do you leave between meals and how many bottles is your baby on? My baby was the same but when I stretched out meal times and gave less milk his eating sky rocketed within a day

Their growth does slow down at this age so they may not drastically increase their food. Breakfast is the best meal for us too, lunch is basically a snack and dinner can be hit and miss. She just snack breastfeeds now and rarely does a bug satisfying feed anymore 😭 to be honest I think my girl has an enormous about at breakfast (3 eggs, a banana, 3 tablespoons of yoghurt and some blueberries) but lunch is basically some bits of cheese and some fruit and then dinner is whatever we are having but sometimes she doesn’t want any and just says beeebeeees for berries

Literally the same boat my little girl is still breastfed and hardly eats. I literally only manage to get crisps in nothing else. It’s a task she did start eating again 2 days a full pouch on each and now she stopped again. Don’t know if it’s because she’s teething x
