Refuses fruit and veggies

I can’t get my baby to eat any fruit or veggies. He will be one. He will stare at it not touch it. If he touches it it’s to fling it on the floor. He won’t even attempt to try it. He will pick up any protein or carb but not touch a fruit or veggies to even kno if they are gross. I started giving him those fruit and veggie pouches to get him to have some servings of that and he liked those. Anyone else?

Have you tried adding veg into pasta sauce like a hidden veg pasta sauce? Or fruit into something fun like pancakes? I'm sorry I can't sympathise with you. My little girl loves her fruit and veg and will pick it over carbs and most protein (unless it's cheese or chicken). Hidden veg might be a start and then maybe slowly reintroduce finger food fruit and veg from there. Good luck

Smoothies is the best way to go 😅

@Ebony yes I’ve done like banana pancakes or like veggie omelets. He will eat it like that. He likes shredded carrots but doesn’t like when they are in other shapes. He will eat cheese chicken steak eggs he won’t touch anything else. I did get him to eat a little piece of a blueberry today. It made me really happy. He actually grabbed it and ate it. Didn’t gag or anything. He didn’t try another piece but it was still a win for me

100% celebrate the little wins!! Some times we're lucky and have a little one that loves veg and other times we're not so lucky and get a fussy one. You might just need to keep trying with random bits and see. Blueberry pancakes are always a win with my little girl

We do hidden veg in just about everything.. pancakes, pasta sauce, lentils, eggs. We also do smoothies and mix into porridge as an overnights oats, weetabix or Greek yogurt. Our LO won’t eat fruit or veg either.. just plays with it.

The pouches are my go to. If it's green my girl thinks it's going to kill her. If it's covered in spaghetti sauce it's usually edible lol

He is eating meats, protein is the most important part of any meal. Don’t be too hard on yourself. Offer the fruits often, eat them in front of him, he will eventually start eating them as well 😊

Pouches are also my go to when my girl is being fussy, especially since she's also very picky about meat, id like to make sure she's at least eating some veggies. She loves fruits but with veggies it depends on how I serve it. Like she likes shredded or diced veggies when mixed in with a stew or soup or sauce but straight up steamed veggies I better not dare lol. Right now broccoli/carrot cheddar mac & cheese is her favorite thing even though she'd also be the first to fling broccoli across the kitchen 😂 Definitely celebrate the small wins when and where you can and don't be so hard on yourself mama. If he's being fussy, give her some time and reintroduce it in a few days or so.
