Hi mums

My 18 month old girl wont respond to her name still, she doesn’t point. Makes some eye contact while laughing together or when she is playing with dad to show mum she’s happy. She makes eye contact giving me her toys. When I’m singing to her with toys, She is running around playing with her toys. Says only says daddy most of the day, mummy maybe once a day when she’s need something, says two :) baby talking I’m getting worried, are we really behind or is something up.

Perhaps try a hearing test. I think it's like 8/10 children get glue ear at some point which often just goes away on it's own.

My son is going to be 18 months next week and he’s the exact same but he doesn’t say words at all just babbles still. Not sure if somethings wrong or if he’s just behind too

@Natacia she responds to music well and sounds

@Danni just spoke to health visitor it wasn’t really clear what she wanted me to do but said if it continues give us a call. Something like call her name while playing, ı call her name all day. She does say her own name though :)))

@Fatos aw that’s good im not even sure if my son knows his name or if he just ignores me 😂 the only word that he seems to understand is no which I suppose is a good thing lol

@Danni we’re just ignored I’m sure 😂

@Danni my boys the same and no words. Nursery suspect early signs of ASD.

My 18 month old doesn’t recognise his name, doesn’t point and doesn’t seem to understand words/commands and are nursery and senco think it could be early ASD signs
