Pregnancy of unknown location

I’ve just been for a private early reassurance scan today as I should be 6+3 but they were unable to find the pregnancy, even with an internal scan. I’ve been referred to EPAU and I’ve got an appointment with them tomorrow afternoon which feels like the longest time. I’ve had 1 full term pregnancy 2011 and 1 miscarriage 2014. I’m terrified this could be an ectopic pregnancy but I’ve had no bleeding or pain/cramping at all. So I’m trying to tell myself it may just have been too early to detect on the scan. I’m trying to not worry until something is confirmed but it’s so hard… has anyone ever had this before and if so, was the outcome was positive?

I was in the August 2023 babies group when I was expecting my 1st and there were multiple posts like this on there when we were all in the very early stages of pregnancy. A lot of women would post updates a week / couple of weeks later and all was ok, it was just too early to see anything. There was of course the odd post with negative news sadly but the majority were positive outcomes. I hope that helps you feel a bit better, all the best to you. X

I had the same thing 6 months ago, went for a scan at EPU couldnt find the location of baby, and it was an ectopic, I also had no pain or bleeding and had to have emergency surgery that day due to my HCG levels being way to high, have everything crossed for you

@Chloe Thank you Chloe. I am trying to keep my logical brain in charge and keep calm until something is confirmed but it’s so hard. I think because other than sore boobs and some minor change in bowel habits I don’t have any other symptoms… but I didn’t with my other pregnancies. I had extreme tiredness with my first but generally speaking I’ve been feeling great so just all feels too good to be true.

@Katrina I’m so sorry to hear this! And thank you for your well wishes
