20 times of that cycle but for us it’s usually 3 times maybe 4 if she’s overtired and fighting sleep like crazy. my baby didn’t really have preference between me or dad but if she did i probably would do this by myself a day or so and then the next day incorporate dad and have him pick her up the third time when i think she is about to fall asleep. it might wake her up a little & he might have to pick up put down a few times but at least she goes into it with u and you get her calm, then *hopefully* the transition can be smoother for her
Hey chica, I understand your dilemma been & there with my son. so just wanted to share this tip that worked for me and may help you, use one of your shirts that smells of you and a pillow and I’m not sure if you breastfeed but after feed lay baby down tummy down and rock to sleep, once sleep you can transfer to Crib but it has to be stealthy roll baby and place baby on side. It’ll get easier I hope you have a good trip and daddy n baby can chill and bond
seems like u could benefit from sleep training. same thing happened to us a couple weeks ago, i did the put down pick back up method to get wayyyy into detail : after putting her in the swaddle, i would have her in my arms swaying / bouncing until she was calm and no longer very alert lol, then id set her down for the first time. cue the crying screaming instantly and i normally waited like 1 second while i pat her a couple times then ill pick her back up & hold her until her eyelids get heavy & start slow blinking. put her down wait like 3 seconds patting her like 5 ish times then i pick her back up and wait for the eyelids to get heavy & i watch her eyes and when they finally stay closed i immediately put her down and she usually cries again but with pats within a couple seconds her cries get quieter and she falls to sleep that is like 9 times out of 10 exactly how it goes with us, however i read that with some parents the first time u do it , it can be around 20 times (1/2)
