2.5 years after emergency C-section
Since my C-section, my periods have been really difficult—lasting 10-12 days, with 5 days of what used to be my normal period, followed by several days of spotting (brown blood). After finally getting a scan and speaking with my doctor, he said there appears to be a small collection of free fluid in the lining of my uterus, which extends up to my C-section scar. He explained that it’s a pocket that fills with blood, which is why I experience prolonged spotting. I’ve always had pain around the scar during my period, but the doctor didn’t seem particularly concerned. He essentially said, “This is your problem now, deal with it,” which left me feeling really deflated.
He’s a male and he doesn’t understand the female anatomy and what we woman have to deal with. I would defo go back and ask to speak to a female doctor. You don’t need to suffer cos of the male doctor being uneducated
