I assume it what’s to see what you spend, where you spend it and your savings so you are getting the fair amount of UC. Especially as people try to play the system
@Elena were you asked to do the same?
They ask more and more people for it because too many people claim too much money and people lie about everything, i.e., they don't tell UC about their savings above 6k or that they, are house owners, or that they actually are not single parent 🤷🏼♀️ they asked me to provide my passport details as "they don't have the record of my passport" when I started claim last year my passport was the main document to provide in order to be eligible 🙃
@Dragon mummy they asked for my passport do I have to put it near my face or do they mean zoom into the passport photo? Also do I have to show every transaction or is the first page enough?
I attempted to apply for UC back in 2020 cause both me and my partner were out of jobs, but we were also stuck in Thailand back then so it didn’t allow us to. But yes, they need all the details.
@Dragon mummy I know firsthand about this… my ‘lovely’ sil applied as single when she was actually supported by her husband. We don’t talk to her anymore, so I have no idea if she is still on UC now
Ask in a journal to create a To Do as you're gonna need to upload a big file. You need to upload photos (if you have paper statements) or files (you can easily download it from Internet banking or app). These have to be your last four FUll statements from first to the last page, no covering, bluring, etc. I'm guessing they want only your first page of your passport (with the details and photo of you) unless they are specifically asked to position your passport next to your face.
@Elena wouldn't be surprised if she still claimed it as single. Extra money is so tempting. I also know it firsthand 😀
You need to leave Everything, the bank statements as the bank provides. You can’t blur transactions.
