You can go and see your OB and go from there! They will usually prescribe something for it to see if it helps!

Hey, I’m sorry you are feeling like this. I had PPD with my first and it was a very dark time. I spoke to my health visitor first who then referred me to my GP. I ended up on antidepressants and was offered therapy. I hope you are ok.

Thanks everyone, just been the doctors they was no help whatsoever! she basically said to me "don't you have family to help" i said yes and then she said "well you should ask for help off them" im furious

I’m so sorry. That is not very professional of them and they should want to help you. 😕

@Harley i know! i was debating all morning whether to say something, i told her with confidence and she could clearly see i was upset because i just couldn't stop crying, i feel like ive came out feeling worse than i did going xx

That is so bad on their part. Im not sure if this is allowed on here, so it may be deleted, but women kill themselves every day due to postpartum depression, so you would think doctors would want to help as much as possible. My OB did a questionnaire at my 6 week checkup and that’s when they talk with you about it you feel like you may need to be put on a medication to help or if you feel like your doing okay. Those first 2 weeks PP our hormones are all over the place and out of whack so it’s normal to feel those feelings because our lives have changed drastically, we’re sleep deprived and all of the other things that come with having a baby. But, she said it you still feel those feelings after those first few weeks then it’s good to talk about it and maybe start taking something to help. I cannot believe the doctor said that to you and didn’t try to help you in anyway.

My partner has put a complaint in.. this isn't the first time we've had a bad experience with our doctors so hopefully it's positive from now xx

Call your midwives, they’ll direct you the right way ❤️
