Baby moon

Anyone planning babymoon for second trimester? I wanted to go to Dubai with my husband but I’m not sure if that’s too long of a flight while being pregnant. has anyone taken a 10+ hour flight in the second trimester? or did anyone’s doctor advise them against it? If you already planned your trips can you give me some ideas of alternative locations? thank you in advance 🥰

We did hawaii with my first. Around a 16 hour flight. It wasn't any worse than any other long flight but I had a super easy pregnancy that time around.

We are doing a babymoon at 19 weeks pregnant, but it’s only a 3 hour flight so I’m not worried about that at all.

We are considering a cruise. I’ve decided no flights for me after 30 weeks. I know they say up to 36 with doctors note but I’m done at 30 weeks. It’ll be nesting time for me atp.

We are planning Hawaii at 20-21 weeks but it’s only a 5/6 hour flight for us. Primarily choosing that because of the non stop flight, super low Zika risk and chance to just enjoy the beach if I’m too tired to do anything else 🙈

Second trimester should be mostly fine. Please check with airlines what their policy is. I was traveling to Asia around 13 weeks and my dr recommended I take baby aspirin to avoid blood clot + compression socks and regular walks. I didn’t take the aspirin but I made sure to stand up a lot, walk around, compression socks and not sit upright (I was also in Business so that def helped). But once ur bump is bigger, it may a little uncomfortable to sit upright so you may want to bring seating pillows etc that would help you more comfortable. Unless you’re high risk, I don’t think the dr would advise against it (so long as the airlines allow it).

Thinking about a trip to Croatia around 24 weeks. Dr said could go up to 30+ Wear compression socks and move around on flight was all they recommended - they didn’t seem concerned. Go for it!!

I took a very short flight second trimester last pregnancy and plan to do same this one. I know doctors recommend getting up and walking every hour when traveling because of risk of blood clots. So if you have the chance to try and use restroom or just up and down the isle. Maybe try that. I also used compression socks last pregnancy during my flight.

We’re going to Australia when I’ll be 20 weeks, doctor wasn’t concerned.
