hey my son is also 22 months. he has been interested for ages, always follows us to the toilet, says my turn potty, knows when he’s wee’d or pooed. so i decided on monday to start potty training loosely using the oh crap method - he had 2 or 3 accidents on monday and 1 yesterday. today i put him in pants and he came running to me and said oh no wee wee and had done a little drop in his pants - put him straight on the potty and he finished his wee. no accidents after that as i don’t think he liked the feeling of weeing in the pants lol. he kept running to the potty saying quickly quickly trying to get his pants down 😂 we’re going out for the first time tomorrow with his potty so fingers crossed! i would say if you think he’s ready just go for it!!xx

@Kayleigh yeah my son follows us too! Opens the door when no one’s in there and always is very interested in the loo. I’ll look this method up! We’re gonna attempt tomorrow!🤞

definitely give it a go, i also have been reading pirate pete potty book to him a couple of weeks before we started. last week we went and picked his big boy pants which he was so excited to do! then the morning we started potty training we said bye bye to his daytime nappies and i introduced him to “naptime” and “bedtime” nappies which seems to of worked as to begin with he kept saying nappy on

We successfully trained at this age. Patience, make it fun and don’t confuse with nappies (ie. When you decide to start don’t turn back!!!) Only use nappies for nap and nighttime. But a travel potty and after a couple of days nip to a cafe or park and get them used to wees in random places!! Stickers, books
