symptom reduction

I’m currently 9+3 and I’m freaking out as my symptoms aren’t as strong today… do I phone the midwife tomorrow or am I overreacting??

I always feel like it can’t hurt to call just in case. You’re most likely fine. For me they kinda changed and lessened around 9 weeks like you’re experiencing… and nothing was wrong. I’m 5 months along now. I read other people saying the same, fluctuations especially around that time are totally normal.

thank you - I really needed to hear that it was common! I’ll maybe phone them in the morning and let them know just in case but that is very reassuring x

My symptoms came and went a lot. I remember I was constantly anxious about it as well.

Hi mama! I had the same thing happen a few weeks ago. I had a huge spike in symptoms from week 6-9. Then it felt like they vanished but they just got less intense. I asked my doctor if it could be normal and they said symptoms can fluctuate. Hope this helps!

I went and got a scan at 8+5 and it was ‘perfect and textbook’ and I have had next to no symptoms at all. The doctor assured me that lots of women get no symptoms at all and some that do are only very temporary. Big learning curve for me but always seek out assurance if you feel you need it ❤️ you’re doing great Mumma!

@Jennifer I’m so glad you’ve said your 5 months along now as I have been panicking that my symptoms are easing at 10 weeks but it’s good to know it doesn’t mean anything is wrong and everything might be okay! It’s so hard when I’m googling everything to stay calm 😩

thanks for replying everyone - I’ve been having occasional cramping today so I’m feeling completely defeated, I feel like that coupled with symptom reduction isn’t good. The midwife’s don’t seem to care, I just feel like crying x

Cramping can also just be growing pains and totally normal. Don’t count yourself out yet! When will you next have a scan? Could you book a private one for asap for peace of mind?

@Gemma I’m trying to stay positive but it’s so difficult! I won’t be scanned by the nhs till I think the last week of January and we’ve no private scan places near us unfortunately😔 disadvantage of living really far away from everything x

Well, hopefully you can take comfort in knowing some people have lost symptoms and it’s all ended up okay. It’s so easy to give in to anxiety but unless your bleeding and losing tissue, remain positive lovely ❤️❤️❤️

I lost my symptoms at 9 weeks as well! I even asked my doctor about it on my 9 weeks visit and he said symptoms can fluctuate. After that they were back haha. Currently 26 weeks

Honestly, if you have good insurance, go to the hospital and exaggerate your symptoms. They will do a scan and check heartbeat.

I know my advice is prolly not like the other advice, but I understand your anxiety 100%. 5 miscarriages here.
