Readings low
My midwife had upped me to 2 metaformin tablets a day and this morning when I woke up and took my reading it was 3.5 (usually it’s 5) this has logged as below target is this concerning? Should I call and speak to clinic or monitor for a few days? Also if anyone has any meal suggestions for dinner I’d love to hear them as I’m struggling with ideas that are low carb. TIA x

Hey, I had similar fasting readings after increasing my metformin to 2 tabs. Got quite worried and spoke to my dietitian and midwife, they both said it’s fine and to only worry if it’s higher than 5.3 x
I actually mentioned my levels were 3.1 to my diabetes nurse, and she said they don't worry about low numbers with GDM, only high. Xx
I was the same, the only care about low numbers if your on insulin, just anything that's high xx

I'd contact them if you're worried, I loved curry with lots of protein and veg with cauliflower rice instead x
