How have you found the Glycinate 3-in-1? I have that one in the same brand, not sure if it is helping. I had to stop taking D3 too as it was giving me tummy ache and was only 1000iu. I also take collagen which is supposed to be good for skin, nails and hair. Biotin too. There are so many options it can be overwhelming can't it.

Eek! Please consult your doctor about all those supplements you're using - honestly, at least three of those ingrwdients are known to interfere with HRT, and may be damaging your health. You're also apparently doubling up on ashwaghanda here, which may be problematic. This article may be a useful read for you on that subject: https://www.theguardian.com/society/2025/jan/12/the-big-menopause-swizz-do-hormone-supplements-really-work If your HRT is correctly dosed, you shouldn't need to take all this expensive supplementation and herbal stuff - please do seek a review from your HRT prescriber. You may find that cutting out all these conflicting products helps to calm things down. In the meantime, our M-brace The Change factsheet on menopause skin may be helpful: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Uh6i_8OddWFwWxNaAUS9ZvC61qnI3mM8/view?usp=drivesdk 🩷

@Jo - please make sure you discuss supplement use with your doctor. Biotin has contraindications and interactions, and can affect blood test results. You may find this article useful: https://www.theguardian.com/society/2025/jan/12/the-big-menopause-swizz-do-hormone-supplements-really-work 🩷

@Jo I use that before I go to sleep & usually knocks me out lol ,I tried collagen too but felt it was doing nothing & yeh it’s true that’s why I’ve got this concoction but no helping my facial skin

@Sharon thanks it’s so hard to know what to take , I’ve lost the hot flushes tho win win so what 2 asheaghanda ? X

@Michelle - I can't add anything to what I've already advised, you really do need to get a HRT review and take all the supplements you're using with you to get advice from a properly qualified healthcare professional. Personally, I'd be prioritising my wellbeing and using the correct HRT dose, rather than be taking all these untested and unregulated products. 🩷

@Sharon thanks 💓

@Sharon thank you for the article. I have just read it and it is very interesting. I am on 4 pumps a day of gel and having a review in Feb. I will bring up the vitamins and see what she says. Have you an opinion on testosterone?

@Jo ֊ you're on the maximum dose of Oestrogel. Your prescriber in the review should discuss any persisting symptoms and the way forward. Please be sure to tell them about the biotin use and any other vitamins/supplements. We have a Testosterone Handbook which should tell you pretty much everything you need to know before discussing with your prescriber. Here it is: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1JyqxlBae5FWanAONfE90OOsPV7F51hx-/view?usp=drivesdk Hope that's helpful 🙂🩷

@Sharon thank you I will read that. I was on testosterone but stopped taking it as was convinced my hair was coming out. Will discuss further with my GP.

@Jo you're welcome 🙂 I've been on testosterone for almost three years, and have had no adverse side effects at all. Be sure to check the products suggested for female use and the doses! In our support groups we've had people prescribed incorrectly and using far too much - once we've advised them and they've adjusted dose with their prescriber, their side effects have *usually* subsided so they're able to continue. Like all prescribed products, tailoring them individually is key to finding what works for you 🙂🩷

Well, I’ve noticed my face getting a little rough from the water here in Germany since I got here in November. I guess there’s a little bit too much carbon has a matter of fact I started breaking out here and there which I haven’t done in a long time But while going to menopause and getting older I started using castor oil and I can’t tell you what a big difference it has made doesn’t cost that much completely natural has been used for many many years. It gives a slight glow but it absorbs into your skin, so it doesn’t make it greasy or shiny, I’m still able to put my make up on. I just have to let it take a moment to absorb into my skin. I spray on a make up setting spray before I start with putting on my make up as well

@Spirit I have dry patches on my face year round. Nothing helps. I will give castor oil a go.
