Starting my preemie after a year. She was 6 weeks early. Mainly waiting that long to finances. I have a toddler in nursery now. I don’t want to pay double the amount on the bill so going to wait until she’s 3 so she gets the funding and the price drops down as I believe it’s not actually free despite it being 30 free hours.
We initially put ours with a Childminder. Fewer children so fewer bugs and more attention. Now he's a bit olde he goes one day a week to Nursery and will go full time in summer term. Poss a slight increase in illnesses,.but hard to tell as made the move over winter when there's more bugs about!
My preemie twins are due to start at nursery when they’re 13 months. I am nervous about illness but will have to see how it goes. Thankfully it will be May then so hopefully fewer colds about x
My preemie was discharged still on oxygen and to date she hasnt been able to come off it yet. She has chronic lung disease and so I dont think I will be putting her in any form of child care until she is a lot older. I am quite fortunate that I have recently gone self employed to enable me to care for my daugher through the day and have my partner care for her when i have clients for my work in the evening xx
My 30w started at 15m actual (13m adjusted) as I took extended mat leave/annual leave.
My daughter was born 3 months early, she started nursery two weeks ago, I cried the night before, for hours 🤣 but she’s doing so well, is already in a routine and loves it!! (She does however now have a cold, but she’s doing okay with it so far) xx
My little one was 5 weeks early. She started childminder at around 10 months. She hasn't caught any illness from there as of yet 🙂 x
