If you can find one get a changing table with draws on the bottom. I had a changing table with trays and it wasnt good

Get a toddler bed cot, which will last to age 3, and sidecar it, rather than a next to me which lasts to 6 months. Changing mat and put it on top of a regular chest of drawers to put their clothes in. Somewhere to store nappies and wipes? (Windowsill will do!) That's it!? They don't need much!

Baby monitor Cot that turns into a toddler bed Wardrobe/cupboard - might want locks on the doors Changing stuff (dont need a table a mat on the floor works great but a safe place for all the stuff is super handy) Bedding/blankets easily accessible Nursing chairs are nice but I never used them White noise red light machine Room thermometer is very handy but not essential You're bedtime routine items like dummy's, books, toothbrush medical bits etc But remember they won't be going into their own room until 6 months maybe longer.

Getting furniture that will last them in to being toddlers, we have a cot that turns in to a toddler bed, a changing table that the top lifts off and it becomes just a chest of draws and wardrobe, you can usually find these kinda furniture sets on Facebook marketplace for a lot cheaper just make sure you buy a new mattress for it, we loved our rocking chair and a couple shelf’s for books, then a washing basket (I go for ones with two compartments, one side for washing one side for outgrown clothes for storage) 😄 We never used white noise or a night light and our baby monitor (£50 vetech one) told us the temp of the room We only used his nursery for changing nappies at night and getting him dressed for the first 6 months, so if it’s not 💯 ready in time a next to me crib and nappy caddy in your room will work to start with 😊 (I found dunelm was great for sheets towels etc as they are always in sale it seems!) also make a amazon baby list with all the little bits on to send around!
