Progesterone injection - Prolutex

I’m currently injecting lubion. For me they do not hurt, I don’t find the needles painful or any different to the other injections but my tummy is sore and bruised x

Prolutex looks to be the same as Lubion injections which were just as easy as the stims injections. They are a little fiddly transferring the liquid from the bottle to the syringe. I injected into my thighs and was fine just a small amount of bruising and the occasional lump. It does take a little while to administer as the liquid is quite thick being forced through a tiny needle. Also try not to get the liquid on the surface of your skin as can sting a bit.

Little tip for any progesterone injections (I am taking Lubion) is to warm the vial before administering. Progesterone is oil based and slightly harder to plunge than stims. So pop it under your armpit or into your bra for 5 mins before and it will loosen the solution making it easier to inject. As Louise said the solution can be tricky to transfer. Apart from that I have no issues with them. The needle is so small it doesn’t hurt at all and apart from a small amount of bruising but not sure if that’s from Lubion or clexane x

Lubion isn't oil based it's water based but I believe it still helps to warm it not that I have tried that. Other types yes usually are in oil.

Oh I just assumed it was as it’s so much thicker than the solutions you get during stims

I’m currently on prolutex, it doesn’t hurt at all. I have really thin needles with mine so even injecting doesn’t hurt, the liquid doesn’t cause any stinging either. I’m finding it even easier than the stims I was on!
