Packing lunch for daycare/school: how to separate hot and cold food within lunch box?

I put an ice pack to keep fruit, yogurt, drinks, etc cold and then a thermos with hot food like pasta or chicken rice but the ice pack eventually cools the thermos lol help

Get a lunchbox with separate compartments.

I’ve never sent hot food.

@Lisa my daughter's daycare requested I send a hot lunch 🙄

That's a good daycare! I always give warm and cool foods. If I can't I definitely try to give less cold foods through out the week. Especially since I'm not there, I don't know what kind of comfort my kid needs. There's nothing like something warm on your belly.❤️ Cold foods also carry bacteria. I have separate containers in my daughter's lunchbox. I've been using juice boxes and bring water in a water bottle on the side. If you can afford it get a bento lunch box. It's all about finding a good lunchbox! 🙂

You could try seperate bags. I don't see why that would be a problem.
