@Emma-louise I did go to the gp a couple times and they just told me to try thickner for reflux then I went back and they gave me gaviscon and when I shown the rash they kind of just said no it’s not that but when I rang the HV she said it doesn’t sound like it but to try the gaviscon first then ring them back and they’ll get in touch with the gp for me so I might be best doing that. Just worried if it makes him worse 😩
I recommend trying a goat formula, we use nannycare. I have been given mixed messages about whether goat milk formula is okay for cmpa or if they can have goat then it isn't true cmpa but my little one was rashy, constipated, uncomfortable, colic type symptoms and when we switched him from cow & gate to nannycare he was a different baby. It's supposed to be more gentle on their little tummies. Worth a try before the prescribed milk in my opinion in case it helps!
I’m sorry that you’re going through this. You can switch to a different doctor and get a second opinion because you know that something is wrong with your LO. Plus, bring in a fresh dirty (poop) diaper and ask them to see if there is blood in the stool to confirm that it is CMPA. You can give a formula that has no diary like Enfamil Hyproallergenic, Similac Alimentum, or Alfamino Hyproallergenic. My LO was 4 months didn’t like the taste of it, so I had to mix with breast milk. It is up to you if you want to cut dairy if your till they are 1 years old or you want to continue breast feeding. It will take 2 weeks to get out of your system and 4-6 weeks for your LO. I saw some improvement on my LO within 1-2 weeks. I’m not sure if you want to breast feed or with formula. Either way, that is your choice and wish you the best with your LO. 🙏
It could be, priblem is it can be so hard to get photos of the rashes even thoigh you can see it in person Have you tried asking gp to trial allergy formula for a few weeks and then reintroduce cows milk formula and you should be able to tell
