The tantrums???????

I love this kid but f************ck…… today we popped into Sainsbury’s and she had the worst public meltdown we’ve ever experienced! She was screaming so badly that the security dude did a causal walk by - may have been a coincidence, but it felt so rubbish that someone may have thought I was doing something to hurt her 🥺 Anyone else felt so beat down by a tantrum?! We don’t get them daily and never had one this bad 🫠 *carseat police - she’s facing forward as I’m parked up*

Haha soo I would be arrested by car seat police as my 22months old sits at the front seat and has face forward seat 😂

My girl is forward facing, we are getting the public tantrums too.

We had the same today my 22month old kicked off so much I ended up leaving the shop 😭🫠 Also FF 😂

Ohhhhh the tantrums, I've never had a public "show" but that's because my toddler is easily diverted so as soon as i see it coming I'll hand him something and he will instantly forget. But this doesn't always work at home, today he had the biggest meltdown because i took away his plate because all the egg was going to he rubbed into his hair and he wasnt going to eat. 😨😨😨 they are scary sometimes. Do not beat yourself up, i think we often feel so isolated as mothers that we forget that everyone around us has at some point interacted with a child (or has one) and these little stinkers are one and the same. Those Judgemental looks are inevitable though, doesn't mean we should feel bad about what people think, on top of trying to keep it all together mid tantrum in public.

*forward facing here too* I was chatting with one of my friends who has older children the other day. She said kids have two kinds of tantrum “behaviour”: they either go stiff as an ironing board or jelly like and want to slip through your finger. My LO is doing the second while crying and screaming - probably because I didn’t let her have the scissors or something. I’ve been lucky we’ve not had any massive tantrums in public yet, but I’m due to go back to my home country and my parents house for a few days alone with her and she thinks she can get away with everything when she’s around my mum so I can expect there will be lots of crying when she can’t get her way 😂

Girl these tantrums have come out of no where I am exhausted she is so affectionate and cute but these tantrums are crazy!! She can open every door in the house and I’m pretty sure if I got a stair gate she would climb over it. She is literally a Tasmanian devil I thought girls were easier but apparently not 😂😂😂 SOS I am not okay I need help 😂😂😂 I literally downloaded this app again just to confirm that everyone is going through the same thing and this is normal not like I have two other kids or anything. I feel you Girl, we can get through this. It also is it just me that feels like the worst person in the world for strapping her in our highchair while I tidy up I literally have done it a couple of times but she screams so I don’t but I need to tidy up and I can’t tidy up. Is this okay?
