Bedtimes

Really struggling with bedtime at the moment. She takes a couple of hours to drop off at least. She normally stays in bed but last night decided she wanted to keep getting up and running around. It was gone 12 we eventually got her to sleep. Bedtime is around 7. At home I don't let her nap past 2 and it's earlier at nursery. Thinking of trying to drop the nap but she's only 26 months. Anyone else do it this early and did it fix it?

I’ve been having a lot of chats with my mum friends recently and a lot of us are finding bed time has got worse recently. I think dropping or capping daytime naps is worth trying. My son doesn’t nap during the day now, and his night time sleep has been better since

My son is the same 3 weeks Monday he is asleep within a hour but as soon as he lays down and the light goes out it all goes hay wire, I've been told it's a regression, longest regression we have ever been in

Have you maybe tried a later bedtime? We were struggling a couple months ago until I just pushed bedtime to 8pm, shes fully asleep by around half 8. Since then we've had a few difficult ones but it's mostly been okay. She naps 12-2, and if she sleeps past 2 she often won't be fully asleep by 9pm. She's had a couple of no nap days. The choice is really between her being absolutely exhausted and struggling every night until shes allowed to sleep, or us just spending another hour with her in the evenings.

Thanks everyone. Think I'm going to try some no nap days and later bedtimes and see which works better
