Number of feeds - Formula only

From 8am-8am my LO tends to have around 800ml-1000ml mostly in the 900s xx

Feeds vary i let him tell me when hes hungry His feeds vary as sometimes he will have 230ml other times he may have 190ml all depends on him so daily feeds tend to change. Hes 9 weeks today. Health visitor was happy with how i feed him and the amount. Aslong as you can tell baby is having healthy poos and are striving your doing and he/she is doing good

My little boy is 8 weeks and is on 5oz every 3/4 hours, he only wakes up once now at around 5am from when he goes to bed at around 11. So usually 6 bottles in the 24 hour period

6 bottles in 24h usually, anywhere between 4-6oz depending how hungry she is! 10 weeks old x

My little girl is 9 weeks old and has 5-6 bottles over 24 hours. We give her 6oz per feed, mood dependent she’ll then take 5-6oz but it’s completely led by her and how hungry she is!

@Courtney how do you know when he needs you to make a bigger bottle? I'm struggling with that personally. Do you just make 230 and count how much he drinks, or do a second bottle if he's still unsettled?

@Trisha i was orignally making 180 and found that he was still hungry as he was still sucking when the bottle was empty so i would make another 90ml. He would then only drink 20 ml so all in all he was was having 200ml. He started doing this 2x a day so i chose to increase his bottle to 230 which was the right decision as he tends to eat around 210 sometimes finishes the bottle. My boy will close his mouth, move his head to the side or make like a O shape with him lips. But because he is on bigger feeds i have more hours in between feeds. I dont particularly have a schedule as i let him tell me. Now he tells me, he sleeps better and longer. Best decision i ever did. I have like 6-9 hour sleeps from him. I record what he eat on the huckleberry app and i make sure within 24hrs he has enough. Aslong as he has around 850-1000ml i know he is inline with his usual amounts... .Sorry for the essay hope it helps xx

@Courtney thank you! That does help! I've basically been doing something similar, right down to using huckleberry and having longer sleeps at night so good to know I just have to follow what baby is after and have some confidence that she's having enough
