I believe at 6 months it’s meant to be at least 28oz a day but as you’ve seen it can vary hugely! My girl is 5.5 months and was 15lb 3oz 2 weeks ago. I’m lucky to get 24oz per day in her. She did drop percentiles for a few months but is now tracking just below 50th for the last 2 weigh in’s so I’m not worried and just go by what she wants. She doesn’t feed in the night so I offer her milk every 3 hours in the day and she has as much as she wants. I usually make 150ml except her first and last feed where I offer 180ml
@Lauryn i just wanted to check as my little girl will only have 3 bottles a day maybe 4 if she goes to bed later, i offer 7oz in each bottle but she doesn’t drink as much milk if she knows its dinner or breakfast time or sees any food about x
Have you started weaning? It was a weaning group that said 28oz per day. I have read that if they start refusing milk at this age then you need to reduce the amount of food. you can offer food that has her formula added (so porridge etc) and that still counts though! We haven’t started weaning yet because my girl has cmpa and we haven’t managed to get her settled on a milk yet 🤦🏼♀️
I honestly think they just give you what on average you should be giving and it’s highly unlikely you’ll find exact weight based formula measurements. I found this which offer weight based recommendations but of course it advices you to take note of what your baby needs if they think they need more and that they may not eat all of what you offer etc https://www.healthtoday.com/connect/parenting/how-much-formula-should-a-newborn-and-baby-drink
