Should I go get xray on my toddlers finger?
This morning the bedroom door was closed on it. It’s red and swollen but she was able to bend it right after it happened.
Then she got some food on her hands just now and I had to wash it off. And she started yelling that it hurts. Which yes it will. But is it broken or fractured? Idk. She hasn’t complained about it hurting until I had to wash her hands.
I'd suggest calling your pediatrician office or local emergency room/urgent care and asking a nurse. If you're concerned, it never hurts to go in. It'd be better to go in and be told everything is okay than to not go in and any possible injury getting worse. My toddler got an owwie a few weeks ago; I called and explained to a nurse what happened and if I should bring him in. They ended up saying just keep an eye on him, and he was all good.
