Excessive drooling šŸ™ˆ

Is anyone elseā€™s toddler drooling huuuge quantities at the moment? My little boy has been soaking the front of his tops for a couple of months now. All his teeth have been through for ages so I donā€™t think itā€™s a teething thing. Heā€™s had a massive leap in his language development over the same period of time so wondering if it might be linked? Heā€™s working really hard on his S sounds but still has a very pronounced (adorable!) lisp at the moment so wondering if Itā€™s related to that? Or just one of those things? Has anyone else going through this? Thanks šŸ˜Š

Yes I went through this with one of my twins. He had all his teeth way before his 2nd birthday It started out of the blue. Mentioned it to the GP and he was referred to a ENT clinic at hospital. Checked over and told nothing wrong and maybe a phase. A few of the other mums said it could be related to allergies as this twin suffers from hayfever but I haven't noticed the connection. It happened for a few months and then stopped and every so often it happens for a few days but I just remind him that he is dribbling.

Oh thatā€™s really interesting thanks for replying. He actually does have lots of allergies, including food allergies and hayfever. Iā€™ve booked him in for a check up this morning. Great to know it hasnā€™t been anything worrying x

So the GP had a look and apparently he has enormous tonsils šŸ˜¬ He used to get recurrent tonsillitis when he was a baby - no redness or infection atm but she thinks theyā€™ve settled like that permanently and theyā€™re touching his uvula šŸ˜¢ Also explains lots of other things I hadnā€™t realised were symptoms šŸ˜¬
