Calorie deficit whilst EBF

Has anyone done this and lost weight effectively whilst continuing to EBF? I’m really struggling with my weight, have put on almost 20kg since pre pregnancy. I have gone back to the gym and trying to eat healthier but doesn’t seem to be helping weight loss. Any advice is welcome please!

Personally it didn't help me. I have a lot of stubborn fat that I can only shift with cardio (spinning) and lean muscle gain (weight training). I'm still EBF (amongst the mess of weaning too) but have managed to start more training now my little girl is more independent. I have also found increasing protein intake has helped manage the feeding snackiness

Yes I did. If you’re not losing weight bring your calories down by 100 per week until you see a drop on the scales. Whilst I was breastfeeding I found my sweet spot at around 1600 cals per day. But initially I dropped too fast and nearly lost my milk supply. It is totally doable though - high volume / high protein to keep you full as well.

Yes it’s doable, worked for me and still works. Start easy so you don’t loose your milk supply. Eat more proteins, veggies, and high fibre foods helps to keep you full longer. Cut out processed sugar and refined carbs, and don’t eat too little too, it will trick your body to hold on fat like a clingy toddler. Watch out for liquid calories too, juices, dairy etc, they add unnecessary calories. Drink lotsssss of water. Expect to loose say 300-500g every week, it’s little but it’s something. Stay consistent you will see progress. Listen to your body too

I'm currently in the process of losing weight whilst exclusively breastfeeding. I've been trying to walk more, do yoga and I've been really mindfully eating. I found focusing on my gut health and cutting out processed foods has helped loads. Protein shakes have been really handy too.

I did, but do it slowly and gradually. In the mid I slashed my calories way to much and lost my supply
