Dubai when our first born was 7 months and all fine. Caribbean with our second at 3 months and all fine. It all depends on the plane not length of time. It’s the old planes that cause their ears to hurt/pop. More up to date planes don’t. Try to see what you’ll be flying on
@Ida Marie we have these for concerts, they’re good but you can only where them for 90 minutes at a time
We used sponge earplugs which he didn’t need at all. He slept through take offs and landings. Gave boob here and there. Have a dummy handy for if he won’t accept boob as our first used to sometimes do that on flights. Honestly, don’t overthink it 😘😘😘
We just did the same flight time at Christmas, our girl was 5 months old. I was so worried and anxious but there was nothing to worry about. She had dummies at that point so maybe that helped with the pressure but she slept most of the time. Security is a breeze when you have a little one, you are ushered through in special lines, the flight attendants will be cooing over your lo and it will be fine. There were other babies on our flight, some more unsettled than others but it honestly didn’t seem to bother anyone. Dummies/milk if the pressure does bother them. Someone suggested blowing in their face works as well? Didn’t have to try it. You can take as much milk as you need, we took pre-made bottles, they will heat up everywhere for you. If you are bf even better, less to carry! We took the pushchair through the airport and then they took it at the gate, I wish we had got some kind of cover as it got scuffed on the way home 😭. Have the best time!
We just came back from holiday which was a 4.5 hour flight. I just put my LB on the boob for take off & he slept for quite a while after that. And then he happened to fall asleep just before landing. It was sooo much easier and less stressful than I thought it was going to be. On EasyJet if you purchase Speedy Boarding you can take a pushchair on the plane with you to put in overhead storage,
Soon I will be going away with my 6m old for the third time. First flight was 2.5hrs, 2nd and 3rd was/will be 4.5hrs. I tried breastfeeding on landing and takeoff to help with the pressure but my LO wasn’t bothered, she carried on sleeping if she was already asleep. She sleeps a lot on the plane because it’s like white noise to them 😅
Took my 5 month old boy to Spain over Christmas & he was fine! Slept most of it. I just fed him on landing in case his ears got sore x
Hey, I took a 4 hour flight at 5 months old. I used ear defenders and apparently if you give a bottle during take off and landing it will help with pressure in the ears.
