What do we think of the britax max-safe pro?

Would you recommend this car seat? What car seat does everyone have a d is there another you'd recommend? FTM here and so lost on which car seat to get. My mum said she would buy me one as I'm a single mum to be. So I never really gave it a thought as she said she would take care of it and get advice from the specialist when she looks into buying it. I'm 38+ now and she's still not bought it and won't give me a straight answer when I ask so I've decided to buy it myself. It's so last minute aswell so I'm panicking as well as trying to find a suitable one. Please help! 😥

Great seat but not suitable from birth. Have you got an infant carrier ready until baby is big enough for the max safe?

@Adele no what's an infant carrier? I'm new to all this 🫠 can you recommend one please 😭

If you search ‘car seat advice UK’ in groups on peanut theres a great group with loads of advice. Also car seat safety groups on Facebook.

Agree with the above - look at “car seat advice UK” or “extended rear facing car seat safety” facebook groups. They’ll be able to advise based on budget / car ect. The Britax is good but not suitable for a newborn. As mentioned you need an infant carrier - that should last you the first year/18m depending on babies height/weight. Then you could look to the Safeway pro!

Agree with Facebook group! This one you’ve listed is not a good fit from newborn. If you want one that will stay in the car, there are some that will fit from birth, but I find it better to wait until they’re a bit bigger and you know their centiles. We’ve bought the Britax baby safe core infant carrier this time round, I’ve seen lots of pictures and looks like a great fit but my baby is only arriving next week. ❤️ Another good infant one is Maxi cosi cabriofix if you’re on a budget. The best are the Avionaut cosmo/ pixel. X
