How exciting!!! I'm having mine sometimes next week too jist waiting on a date but I get the nerves! Hope all goes well and yes enjoy this time before baby arrives x

I had an elective C section with my first and personally had a really positive experience. First couple of days are sore for sure but my main advice would be keep on track with taking the pain medication and the lactulose they’ll give you, accept as much help as possible, make sure you have high waisted knickers and jogging bottoms (you probably won’t want to wear things like leggings they’ll be too restrictive) and gently keep moving (just around the house where you can). I’d make sure you take any rings off if you were them as I personally was very very swollen after the op and wouldn’t have been able to get them back on and then finally don’t forget about yourself - try and continue to eat and drink well once you get back home :)
