Tour of colchester midwife led unit

Hiya
Does anyone have details how to book a tour of colchester hospital maternity unit please?
Really keen to have a look around as this pregnancy I am so far low risk (last time was consultant led) but haven't been given details this time

At the time I got them from my midwife because I couldn't find anything online..

@Dina thank you, unfortunately I haven't seen the same one midwife during this pregnancy yet and have no mobile number whenever I phone clacton they don't answer 🤣 I'll ask at my midwife appt next week just anxious I'm getting quite close (36 weeks!!)

Would you say the tour was worth doing x

Lol, my pregnancy was the same, every appointment was a different midwife.
For me it was helpful because I didn't have a clue how it works, so it helped me get an idea.

Hi love! I’ve been trying to get it booked best to discuss during your midwife appointment. I’ve been told it’s usually done when it’s not as busy so around lunch break which is 12.30ish and half 4. I’m 37 weeks and I’ve been trying since 34 weeks. Worth trying to email the community midwives team about it as well and they will have someone to call you back

Just an update had my midwife appointment today and myself and my partner got a tour as it wasn’t as busy ☺️ best to ask during the appointment Goodluck xx

I was getting pretty painful period cramps and during those, I had painful lower back cramps. I had these on and off for like a few hours so from about 10:30pm to 1am?

I’ve had no show, or anything like that.

Is this braxton hicks or early labour pains?

Little girl turning herself sideways in next to me

My little girl tonight, has spun herself so she is lying sideways in her next to me, making me panic!

Is this normal at 4.5 months, do I just lie her back normally/vertically?

Labour??

I’ve had on/off mild period cramps since 9 last night, very irregular and very mild, but I just had one that woke me up. My waters haven’t gone and nor has my mucous plug… but could this be a sign that it’s close?! I’m 40+3 and desperate to meet her!

Ways to induce labor naturally

Hi All! FTM, Entering week 40 and no signs of labor, no dilation yet. Please share tips and ways to induce natural labor. Induction is already scheduled on week 41 but don’t want to go through that process.

Caffeine addiction suuucks. (Coffee)

I'm off of literally everything. Don't smoke, no medicine, don't drink except VERY rare occasion, nothing. I drink a large coffee everyday (usually mcdonalds or 7 brew)... or a couple cups of coffee at home if I don't get out. Today I had neither and I was OUT FOR THE COUNT. Awful headache, no motivation, throwing up. Then I drink coffee and it's instantly better. 🙃 coffee is one hell of a drug I tell ya.

Early waters/pre term labour?

I can’t get checked until later today unfortunately. I can’t tell if I’m leaking/starting early. I definitely think I’m having braxton hicks yesterday and today.. i have some pain in my back but she is quite low down so hoping it’s just pressure, baby was a little quieter yesterday but she’s back to more normal movements today, but my underwear just seems to get so wet, especially after going to the bathroom. And I honestly can’t work out the smell, I’m pretty sure it’s just discharge/urine leaking but there’s that worry in my mind a little. Are there any other ways to know/check if it could be the start of it all?
