Nap advice

Hey, my LO's naps have been terrible probably for about a month now ( I would say around the time he turned 4 months) he won't nap longer than 50 mins but mostly just 30/40 mins at a time so he's only getting around 2 and a half hours sleep in the day which isn't a lot at all. Still sleeps great at night from 7:30/8pm - 6/7am but I'm so confused as to why he's waking up and not able to go back to sleep during the day. Is this the 4 month regression but only happening in the day? 🤣 He will be 5 months on the 28th. Also want to add doesn't matter where he sleeps its always the same outcome

So the 4 month sleep regression can happen anytime 3-5m (with 4 being the average and that’s why it is called that). And my LO started his regression but having crap nap during the day and then it affected his night time a few weeks later. And then we’d have a few good nights and I would think “oh we are done” but then it got worse… and worse… We are 7 weeks into it and I THINK we might be doing better. But I don’t want to jinx it. 🤞🏼 Is your little one sleep trained? I’ve heard this is why many chose to sleep train their babies. To help with this regression.

I thought that is what was going to happen but he's been doing this since 18th December (I only know cos I log his naps on the huckleberry app 🤣) I wouldn't say he's sleep trained but he's able to get himself to sleep for naps/night time sleep all by himself and has done from 2 months old

This is exactly my baby. She will be 5 months on the 27th. She started this about 3 weeks ago, shit naps for a week or two. Then they became longer again but she only sleeps about 3-3.5 hours a day now. Night time sleep is still good, a solid 10ish hours. I didn't do anything differently during those days. I read somewhere the best thing you can do to get through it is to keep your routine, day and night. And to not miss any feed, even if they sleep, don't let them miss feeding. So just stick to what you do!
