What else can we use but pram suits?

What is everyone using for their babies in their pram? We have pram suits but he absolutely hates them and I hate putting them on him, it’s such a faff but I know it keeps him warm! Is there anything else anyone can recommend to use? I have the star blanket but I’m not sure if that will keep him warm enough or not

I've never used a pram suit. Just layers and blankets. Much easier to uncover them when you go inside. So inside clothes (vest, top, trousers, socks), jumper, hat, booties maybe, cellular blanket, fleece blanket. He's always toasty warm

@Lizzy is this the starfish blanket? As I have this but wasn’t sure if he would be warm enough but I think I’m going to use this from now with a blanket on top if needed maybe

@Charley yeah it’s so much easier, I really hate the pram suits😂

We use a starfish blanket (the tuppence & crumble ones) and then a blanket over the top if its really cold, but he’s usually toasty just with the starfish xx

Yeah! They’re fab, used them with my first too. They’re so easy to get on & off, you can layer underneath as well if you need. But I usually just do vest/sleepsuit/starfish/hat +/- blanket xx

@Cath thank you lovely! Think I’ll do that from now as I really hate the pram suits they are so difficult to get on and baby just gets so upset cause it’s so much faffing around xx

Hooded or fleeced cardigans a useful alternative too x

Have you tried a thin fleece all in one? I hate proper pramsuits as they're so padded getting arms in is a nightmare but you can get thin fleecey ones are much easier i use them all the time! Takes 2 seconds to get them on and off

I try to get my LG to fall asleep in the pram so don't use a pramsuit if I'm wanting her to stay asleep when we get home. I put a hat on her, a jacket that I can get off without waking her then have a slightly thicker blanket that I put up to her armpits so she can't pull it over herself then when I get home and she's still asleep, I take her out the pram, remove the jacket and put her down to sleep

i brought a super fluffy jacket from next(it was around £15) but it’s so much easier and then we put just another little jacket/ jumper on underneath with 2x blankets as well as a long sleeved vest and either an outfit or sleepsuit! so much easier than taking a pram suit on and off! x
