I also had an unsuccessful ECV with my breech baby, and had a planned c-section. It was the most amazing day, it was very calm & relaxing, the nurses we’re amazing & put my mind at ease, they captured it all with photos & videos on our phone for us to cherish forever. The recovery wasn’t too bad, just listen to your body & try to rest as much as you can for the first week or so. Good luck xx
Planned c-sections was pretty good! I didn’t have any contractions. They put you in this drugs that make you feel just “good” lol. I was worry about the drugs making my baby lethargic or hard to latch on my breast. But nothing like that happened. The pain after surgery was at the must 5, I was able to managed with acetaminophen and ibuprofen. I ask for the opioids to sleep better. It takes around 12 hours for you to walk like normal again. For me the whole experience was great
I always encourage my clients to get their bodies balanced before an ECV just in case their bodies are the reason baby isn’t turning. Sometimes baby just won’t turn though, with all the bodywork and spinning babies and body balancing
@Eva (Doula) i second this. osteopath before my ECV made my baby turn so quickly
My first baby was breech and I had a failed ECV. My c-section was very pleasant. Was relaxed, calm and very positive. All going well, the full procedure takes about an hour and the baby is out in about 7 mins at the start. My second baby wasn’t breech, but I declined the VBAC and had another section because it was so positive. Just make sure you have some help with recovery afterwards as looking after your older child can be a bit of a challenge whilst you’re healing and can’t lift or drive etc. Xx
Lovely advice and tips so thank you everyone 🤍
How far along?
