How old are they? Are they old enough for any newborn inlay to be removed as this can get uncomfortable as they get bigger.
Is the car seat an adjustable one (eg ours reclines, but when it's too far back it touches the seat in front and the vibrations are unpleasant for LO!)

My baby will only stop when I sing old McDonald had a farm nice and loud 🤣

@Cass yes for a while I had to sing the welcome song from our baby sensory class 😅 now I can sing any nursery rhyme if she starts getting irritable lol lucky me

Thank you Sophie, she is 10weeks, guess it’s time to remove the newborn inlay.

Thanks cass, we try singing rhymes and also played white noise but none worked.

Almost certainly not time to remove the newborn insert at 10 weeks old. Have a look at car safety Facebook groups. Lots will over fit checks if you supply a photo.
It's likely to be a phase. Mine hated the car stopping for the first while, then the car in general and required lots of singing and playing the happy song on loop, now he doesn't mind short trips

It’s definitely a phase, as a newborn they fall asleep anywhere and everywhere, then they start to become more aware, but it’ll get easier (my boy is 7m and still cries sometimes) but it’s easier when you can give him toys, or he’ll have his dummy or I’ll sing to him and he’ll stop - look up the Einstein fish tank toy you can strap it to the headrest and my boy just watches the fish moving and looks at the lights!
