Hitting

Hey guys, my baby boy is very bashy with his hands and sometimes when you hold him he’ll basically smack your face but he will pretty much do it to anyone that holds him if his comfortable and it makes me quite sad and confused where his learnt this from, we always tell him no and sometimes he’ll just laugh at us, I don’t want him to carry on his behaviour especially when he goes nursery in April! Is there any advice you can give to help him stop this?

My boy is nearly 8 months, he does this, waves and flings his arms around, but talking to the health visitor and some googling, it’s just how they express happiness and excitement. I wouldn’t worry too much, I’m just not overly ‘engaging’ in the behaviour, but as he gets older and aware of his surroundings I’ll teach him not to! They can’t really understand no at this age so it’s tough!!xxx

Mine beats the life out of me, smacks me pulls my eye lids, pulls my nose scratches me 😂

@Elena same 🤣🙃

There still babies they havnt learnt to maliciously hit people ...my boy does this all time when he's happy and excited ...he's also a habit of grabbing our face but he's just exploring xx

Thank you everyone, I know like touching your face is there way of showing they love and care about you but when it changed to smacking I was just worried but that’s good to know thank you !!!
