Dissolvable stitches slow to dissolve?

Hi all I am just over 5 weeks post c section now. My stitches are very much still present and the tie at the end definitely isn’t about to dissolve or fall off any time soon. Generally the advice is that the dissolvable stitches should be gone by 6 weeks. Did this actually happen for anyone? Or when did your stitches finally dissolve? Keen to try a scar balm and silicone sheets but from what I’ve read, stitches need to be dissolved. Has anyone tried the scar balm from Naydaya or silicone sheets in general? When did you start using it? Thanks! :)

Mine took around 6 weeks to fully dissolve.

I have no idea how long it took but they also glued my skin so I legit couldn’t see them I only see the ends which fell off after like 2-3 weeks could be longer I was very tired lol

Where my doctor tied it off, I actually had to go back at 5/6 weeks PP and get him to remove the knot. I was fully healed except that tiny spot. The stitches were too bundled to be able to dissolve. Once he took out the knot, it quickly healed!
