We’ve used both aveeno and Childs farm I like both 👌🏼. I used aveeno dermexa baby when she was smaller (GP recommended it as she had bad eczema on her face). I now use child’s farm in the bath/shampoo/body wash etc as it smells nice, and their dermexa cream for her face/body x
@Emma what age did you use the Aveeno? I have just been putting Vaseline on his forehead atm as he’s got dry skin which seems to be clearing it but didn’t want to irritate it by putting any creams on it x
@Martina I will have a look into the app thank you
Aveeno
Both are good but I think Aveeno is a bit better and great for really dry skin. I wouldn’t use Johnson’s either x
We found child's farm caused a reaction. We use aveeno but oats can cause a reaction too in some. We also love nalas
Aveeno for us, have been using it since she was about 5 weeks and she’s 4 months now x
Since 4 weeks, it turned out she has milk protein allergy which was causing the eczema xx
@Emma we suspect cmpa with our little one and have been back and forth with the gp… would it matter if I used aveeno or Childs farm with this? Is one better than the other with cmpa? Xx
Start with aveeno, I’d recommend the night cream over the ‘day’ cream it’s a thicker consistency. And apply it throughout the day. I only started using child’s farm as she’s older now and have the shampoo etc but love aveeno. I did have to get firm with the GP to get a CMPA formula, I took for 4 weeks to her being 3/4 months when they finally listened - it was a nurse when she was having some jabs said oh that looks like CMPA and I was just like OH MY GOD YOU BELIEVE ME
Johnson’s is bad. Some of the aveeno items are great and we used them a lot. I recommend the Yuka app where you scan barcode and it will tell you if it’s great or not. It’s completely free and it will give you a totally different outlook on what you eat and put on yours or your baby’s skin. It’s completely normal for your baby to have a dry skin around this time and you should not put anything on it. It will go on its own.
