I also have small B cups. I struggled with colostrum, I kept working on it and I got about 2.5ml total over about 3 weeks. My milk came in on day 3, my breast suddenly went up to DD cups and I actually had an over supply. After a few months it regulated and my breasts have gone back pretty much to the size the were before, but I’ve had no supply issues. The size of your breasts has no bearing on whether you’ll be able to make enough milk or not. The best thing you can do is just eat well and stay hydrated, but a lot of it’s just the luck of the draw.

@Faye thankyou for the reassurance 🙏

I had small c cups and they didn’t really grow at all during pregnancy. I was able to collect a decent amount of colostrum though. Breastfeeding has been no issue at all, I’ve probably gone up to a d cup now Size has no impact on your ability to produce milk at all. And don’t stress if you can’t collect colostrum, this doesn’t indicate what your supply will be like at all! Xx

Also if required they can help you do it! I did harvest colostrum prior, but not enough and the midwives were helping me do it on the ward! I also had/have very small boobs and haven’t had any issues feeding!

There's no reason you can't breastfeed due to the size of your boobs. So many factors influence your journey - size and shape included, but it's not the only thing. I had small B/C cups and they ballooned in pregnancy almost straight away to DD (was lovely haha). I've breastfed for 10.5mo now- they're back to B/C, but my supply is still going strong. I think a common misconception is that boobs store large quantities of milk, which they don't. And larger boobs don't equal more or faster production. In fact my smaller boob has much faster flow and I've always pumped more from it 🤷‍♀️

I was unable to Harvest colostrum and I have been breastfeeding fine. Your body will naturally make milk and they will get bigger once baby has arrived so try not to worry too much.

I never tried to harvest colostrum and am still breastfeeding at 2.5

Even with a f cup, I never managed to harvest any colostrum before the baby arrived - but breast feeding was fine
