@Alexia good one. My Bluetooth speaker is huge I may need to take my Amazon echo/ Alexa lol 😆
My favorite fuzzy throw blanket
I loved my aromatherapy inhaler - I wish more people knew about it! https://birthorderbox.com/products/labor-support-aromatherapy-inhaler?_pos=1&_sid=7573c1eb5&_ss=r
Lols I didn't even use my hospital bag.... They provided everything and I just used the same dress I wore when I left. They provide baby clothes, blankets, lotion, food
@Sylvia wait your hospital has baby clothes 😍 never heard of this maybe I should ask mine
@Balu oh my goodness I definitely just learned something new thanks for sharing! 😍
A sleeping eye mask because of the lights
My pillow, hospital pillows are not great and you want to be as comfortable as possible
I brought a tens unit which helped for contractions and headphones!
@Sylvia not all do clothes, mine only did a shirt which definitely wasn't enough for the cold room we were in
@LeAynne awesome you’re the second person I heard say this. Luckily I have one that I haven’t in years used just stored away in my closet. Thank you!
Honestly the biggest thing for me was a fan! I don’t really run hot but my face would get really warm for tough contractions. I bought a stroller fan for my baby that I ended up holding in my hand or wrapping around the hospital bed during labor
@Victoria ya that's true. They provided the basics but you still need a car seat and a onesie jacket for baby to keep them warm. Plus another big blanket to cover the car seat.
@Fran they provided the onesie shirt with sleeves but bring pants for baby, plus a onesie jacket to take him outside on their carseat. You don't need to bring like tons of clothes like I did because they provide the basics. But if it's cold you definitely need that onesie jacket! Or a sleep suit to keep them warm. Plus another thick blanket to cover the car seat when you walk out of the building. You can take the cotton thin blankets for swaddling the baby from the hospital. We took 5 of them out with us.

The hospital provided small hats for baby also...they don't last long. Our babies head grew so we bought new hats from the store a few days later. I personally didn't use my bag for myself. I just used what the hospital gave me and ate their food. they provided drinks. My partner bought me chocolates from the vending machine lols.
I'm just saying I over packed my bag! They provide diapers, wet wipes, formula. Almost everything. Except for pants for baby. And the jacket.
Don't forget your car seat!!
Also you don't need to bring tons of outfits for yourself. I just used the same dress bc I got naked and used the hospital gowns during my stay. They have a shower in the room with towels, socks, mesh underwears. I didn't even use my underwear and socks I brought. I'm just saying, pack light. You don't need tons of different clothes for you and baby. Just the essentials like jackets for you and baby.
They also have tooth paste, tooth brush, lotion. I was in the bed the whole time and just needed like food, blankets to stay warm.
@Sylvia Yea I definitely overpacked for him but I’d rather be safe than sorry and from the stories I’ve heard, im concluding that boys like to have blowouts. 😂 this will be my 3rd baby but first boy. I just was never offered clothing by the hospitals so that was something I never thought to ask but my first daughter was a premie and they had cute premie onesies for her for obvious reasons. No one anticipates having their baby come so early ya know? 💜
@Fran oh ok. I put soooo many diapers in my suit case! I am a first time mom! Not needed the hospital provides diapers all the time. All the rooms are in front of nurses station, if you need something just open door and yell for a nurse and they'll get it haha. But they put the diapers in the bassinet/cot pockets! I found the dignity health baby clothes in the orange Welcome bag they gave me! They are so cute we still use them when we got home. And a dignity health hat. They gave me a bunch of stuff too in that bag like extra mesh underwear, pads, witch hazel pads, ice pads for underwear, ear plugs and random stuff! It was like a little gift bag with essentials but also extra stuff I didn't need like eye mask.
Dignity health was awesome!!! If you have another hospital call maternity ward and ask what do they provide
One thing that made my life easier was hydrocortisone anti itch cream I got crazy postpartum hives and had to have my fiancé run to the store to get me some. Works wonders.
@Sylvia I gave birth in the same hospital my experience was very complicated and scary but the swag bag was very cute loved the little elephants.
@Aurora ooh ok. Yea I also had some scary moments because my induction almost failed but was saved when doctor used forceps and did a cut was able to pull baby out while I was pushing.
I was just thankful to not have a c section after all that work during induction
Speaker for my labor and postpartum
