So true I think it’s like that anywhere now , I’m from the uk and things are just stupidly priced. We’re taking our oldest to a monster truck show that is costing £230 !! Just for 5 of us ( one being a baby ) Our local petting farm ends up costing about £100 for a day out it’s absurd !
Any time we do something as a family of five it’s over an 100. Sometimes we get lucky and the youngest are free or discounted.
@Olivia Was that the Hot Wheels one? My friend took her son to that I think. My boy would love it but it's travelling with all the kids in the car 😅 Even if you don't mind parting with that kind of money (I have a 15 year old, 5 year old and 1 year old!)
Natural history museum is not worth that money in my opinion! The one in London is free and I thought better than in NY
I’m uk, are your museums not free? The majority of ours are, they want a donation though. Took my son to the national history museum a few months back. Absolutely loved it. Other specific museums normally science and aviation ones you pay for but prices aren’t too bad. Theatre tickets are mental. Even my local theatre used to be £15 not it’s a minimum of £30 then to like big city shows it’s £100 plus a ticket. Some zoos are mental priced for 3 of us it’s close £100. Why would anyone pay that.
@Alex this is the one in Cleveland, Ohio 😭. It's nice and they just made some upgrades but I find it hard to believe it will be worth that price.
@Heather depends on the museum. I'm near Cleveland Ohio. The art museum is free. I think the rest cost money although some aren't too expensive. There's an air force museum a few hours south of us which is free and very nice. We get a zoo pass which ends up being close to $200/year but we use it fairly frequently so it's worth it for us.
I feel you, everything’s expensive. I’d check your libraries website and see what resources they have on there because my libraries website literally provides free tickets for the whole family to multiple museums! You just have to apply online and then they send you the tickets to your email :) most museums pair with libraries like this and set aside a certain number of tickets a week for programs like that, I think they get to write it off on their taxes anyways
@Autumn never heard of this. I'll definitely check! 😊
@Rachel yesss you have to use your library card number in my state, idk if it’s the same everywhere but if you don’t have a card you might have to get one first!
That’s why I really utilize the EBT benefits, free museums!
@Sophie yes ! The glow and fire one ! We’re lucky it’s only a 30 min drive but the money part of it hurts 😂and i imagine they’ll be things to buy there hot wheels related ( always a rip off lol ) then food and drink it’s just amazing they can get away with it tbh
@Olivia Ha ha yes. We often go to outside Inflatable sessions during the May bank holiday or the summer and it's so easy to end up rinsed by the food and drink stalls, toy sellers, face painters and all the rest! 🤦🏻♀️😅
@Mia I'd literally be at the museum every time they not in school
I feel you, It soo frustrating! I bought tickets to a comedy show for Valentines day, just me and my husband. It was difficult keeping the total cost under $300, once i go to check out they add on like $70 worth of fee’s. I was on ticket master, i thought they were being sued or fined for the hidden fee’s but its still going on🤦🏾♀️
