Breastfeeding questions

Currently 5 weeks into breastfeeding. Slight soreness still but cracks have thankfully healed. Couple questions: 1. My nipples extend quite a bit naturally so everytime I wear a bra especially right after a feed where it's stretched out even more it hurts as its being squished. Feels like it's forcefully being pushed into my boobs too much as my bra is back on. Obviously I can take it off whenever I can but I need breast pads as I leak quite a lot. Like half an oz to an oz. How do I deal with this? 2. There are occasions where my lb is fussing after feeds. Like he's got trapped gas and I try to get it out but he's struggling. I also cut out milk in case he's reacting to it but doesn't seem to relate. Anyone know any hacks to help him with this? 3. My nipples are very dry if I was to "air them oht" but like it also sticks to breast pads if i cream them and put on too. Not sure how to find a workaround tmfor dealing with dry nipples. I've tried different nipples creams, balms, oils, aloe vera etc. 4. How do I know for sure when I need to switch breasts? 5. I noticed for some reason my nipples sting with the weleda nipple cream. Does this happen to anyone else? 6. Seems like my lb has gotten lazy with opening his mouth wide for latching on and he's sucking in air from tome to time. I try taking him off and re latching but he's still not doing it. what can I do to fix this?

1. Can you loosen the straps on your bra or wear a nursing vest instead? 2. Keep him upright and wiggle him around a little. Sometimes bouncing on the exercise ball helps us. 3. Silver cups with a few drops of breast milk in them 4. I don’t think there is a right answer, but I switch when the sucking slows right down 6. I boop my baby in between his nostrils with my nipple until he opens wide 😂

1. I've noticed the same thing, I sized up my bras to try help 2. Can't help with the gas my boy is the same and will be sick ages after a feed even if he's got wind up and been up right after feeds 3. Have you tried lanisoh nipple cream that seems to work well for me 4. I switch when he slows down/stops. Sometimes I have to unlatch him as he will suck if I try to take him off but then stop again. 5. Haven't tried weleda, highly recommend lanisoh 6. I have noticed the same especially when he's more fussy it's impossible to get him to latch effectively as he throws his head around so much

1. Silver nipple cups as they really help prevent irritating your nipples 2. Try massages, bicycle legs and different burping techniques. Then after the burp try and offer feed again and see if they take. As burping removes the air and you can fill this space with milk. Then burp after again and this ensures they're full. 3. Again silver nipple cups will deffo help. 4. Depends on your supply but when they feel empty or baby starts sucking less or doing flutter sucks. 5. Try Lanolin instead 6. Nose to nipple and only let him latch when it is wide enough.
