Calling all c section mamas

C section mamas When was the soonest you got pregnant again after a c section? I plan to wait at least the recommended time (not in a crazy rush, and want to get a bigger home first etc) but just curious. What was the pros / cons? Did you experience any trauma / any bad effects from getting pregnant more soon than the 18 mos recommended time?

I got pregnant right around the time my daughter turned 3, I waited until she was 18 months before we decided to start trying. It took 10 cycles not back to back because my husband deployed for 8 months in 2023. I found out I was pregnant at the end of last June and I’m having my second baby in a few weeks

After a c-section they tell you to wait 18-24 months because you are still healing and if you get pregnant before you risk ripping it back open. My son is 4 and we just got pregnant with our second baby and I had a place below baby from where the placenta tried attaching to scar tissue but everything is now fine. We started trying when my son was 3 and it took a year ti get pregnant.

@Megan if I decide to have another I definitely plan to wait at least the 18 months but was thinking at least 2 years but was more nosey on other peoples journeys / experiences. On a fb page I’m on someone posted about having a c section and being pregnant with their baby was a few mos old. That blew my mind.

8 months after. I had a vbac and no issues at all.
