Feeding at night

We topped my 6 week old off with a bottle (breastmilk) last night and she has pretty much slept through (3am now and shes still asleep) She went on both breasts and then had 3oz as I was worried she wasn’t getting enough from me ( had blocked ducts 2 weeks ago so im paranoid now) Am I going to produce enough milk for her tomorrow as shes pretty much slept through. Im so worried that I’ve messed up. I just want to make sure shes got enough food but don’t want to stop making enough for her as I want to breastfeed for as long as I possibly can. Its been great getting the sleep but Ild rather be waking to feed her. Its normally every 3 hours but shes only just starting to stir. Is this a normal time between feeds now shes 6 weeks? I don’t think ill top up with a bottle again, they say you cant over feed a breastfed baby but will she drink a bottle if she is full after each breast? I think ill just stick to the breast rather than give a bottle again?

You could still do the bottle if you're willing to wakeup and do that pump while she sleeps to ensure your supply doesn't drop. Or just make sure you're feeding on demand during the day rather than trying to keep her on a schedule. I feel like my supply regulated around 3 months pp, but everyone is different

I normally don’t use bottles at all and she is demand fed. Shes had a couple of bottles i had to use our frozen supply when she struggled getting any and I had blocked ducts and i still offered breast every-time first and only had to use 3-4 pouches to top her up over a couple of days. Shes been a little fussy yesterday which is why I thought to top her up a little but now I’m upset that I might have affected my supply and feel guilty but she always wakes up when shes hungry. I think im just overthinking

I think you'll be ok, I'm 13.5 months postpartum and quit my night pump at 8 months. Because I was so scared of a supply dip. Looking back I wish I had just done a pump in the morning to help with engorgement. But as for the rest I would just let baby lead. Also one day doesn't make a huge difference, you'll hit a cluster feed soon that will help if you are worried ❤️

As long as she’s gaining weight on her curve on the chat, then your milk supply is fine. You can’t judge enough by offering a baby a bottle to see if they’re still hungry because they can just take it until they’re over stuffed.
