Fatigue / exhaustion

I’ll be 31 weeks this week which means I have (what feels like) a LONG time until my MAT leave starts and I am struggling to much with my energy. I’m exhausted physically and mentally from the moment I get out of bed. I’m not sleeping great either - getting a good 6-7 hours but it’s very broken, waking every hour. Anyone have any suggestions on ways to boost energy? I’m eating fairly healthy, my meals are good but my snacks parents always the best.

Oh my god I’m the same, 32 weeks tomorrow and I’m drained. Waiting for an iron transfusion cos my iron is in the low 70’s it’s really concerning apparently! But I also can’t sleep at night no matter how tired I am, it’s sooo tough!

I don’t know if it’s just placebo effect or it’s really working but recently I bought spray called ‘Spritz for Labour’ from My Expert Midwife brand. Even though the name indicates it’s for Labour, it says that you can use it throughout your pregnancy and labour on the instructions. So it says to spray on your pillow before sleep to calm you down and ever since I have started doing that, I sleep like a log! I mean I still wake up for pee or changing positions but I fall asleep quite quickly and have at least 2-4 hours of uninterrupted sleep. It has essential oils, everything is natural. The only downside ise some people find the smell a bit odd, for me it’s not a huge issue as it does not have a distinctive smell but not a pleasant smell as well. I would recommend at least to try it out as it’s only £3.75 at the moment

I am 32 weeks and was struggling with really low energy. I’ve started taking 20mg of gentle solgar iron supplements alongside my usual pregnancy tablets, and it has helped. I was slightly deficient in my 28 week blood test

How physically active are you? I know it's not easy at this stage but a walk round the block or to the shops always makes me feel a bit more awake. It also makes me feel positive about what I can do, rather than focusing on what I can't right now. Does that make sense?

@Jessica I used to be very active, kick-boxing and running before pregnancy. I now only really walk the dogs which is every day but I am incredibly slow and lethargic when walking. It does help but I think the stark difference in exercise is getting to me x
