Morning drop offs at nursery

We've just been through this, and now she's running in excited to go. I can only think its some kind of seperation anxiety as she's been asking if she'll always get picked up and saying she's scared of nursery. I have started to try and make it fun on a morning by guessing who is going to be there and making a game out of it
We've had this for a couple of years with our boy - we let him choose a toy to take in with him now every time he goes in and seems to help. It's horrible seeing them unsettled going in xxx
Does she have a best friend who you can arrange to arrive at the same time as so they can go in together? A friend of ours was the same after a holiday with her daughter. We arranged drop offs at the same time for a week and she (and my son) were so excited to be going in together she ran in without even looking at her mum!
We started just after he turned 2, December, in jan switched to mornings 9-1 and did that until now… they added now extra day so 8:30-1… 5 days… And after xmas he didn’t want to go, we missed monday and Tuesday i managed to convince to go for walk… and walked to nursery and they picked him up- crying and it was awful.. when i picked him up in afternoon he was okay… But i always worry anyway as we about to go….. he also doesnt want to wear anything new we got him, last week i ended up wearing same set of joggers and jumper he likes. 2 sets only….this week same story… its a NO NO NO for everything
Mines been the same. He started in September and it took him a while to settle in, now it feels like we’re back to square one. I think they will eventually get back into it, they just need time.
